Had rrod and did complete dismantle removed old thermal paste cleaned then reapplied new thermal paste to gpu and CPU. Turned on and still rrod "general hw failure". So stuck 2 precision screwdrivers onto fans and let overheat 10 min until rrod "overheat" 2 lights appeared. Let cool down. And now working?! Didn’t do X-clamp kit fix. Don’t know if I’m lucky or what but can’t wait to play Duke Nukem Forever.

@DSRvmv111 From what I know there are different CPU’s in xboxes, the Xenon CPU is a triple-core processor.

@blueshift314 If the component is damaged it would need to be replaced, but in almost every case of an "broken" xbox the damage is in the connection between the components and can therefore be repaired.
